    General Questions

    Q: How do I get a website?

    Go to https://www.practicalwebsitedesign.com/request-a-design and scroll down to where it says “Website Design Request Form” to fill out the form and submit payment.

    Q: Do I have to have all my information ready to fill out the Website Design Request Form?

    No, just do the best you can. However, if you have all your info ready you’ll make it easier on us. ; ) If you are missing anything, we will notify you via a client portal. You will be e-mailed a form requesting any information you are still missing.

    Q: What is the process for getting a Logo?

    Once you fill out the Logo Design Form answering questions such as color and design preferences, our logo designer will present you with 3 different logos. You will then pick your favorite which will be used on your website. We will provide you with a copy of your logo in transparent PNG format so you can use it on business cards, watermark social media graphics, or anything else you’d like. Should you want a revision to your logo we can accommodate the request for $5/per revision.

    Q: I have Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube Channel. Can I add those to my site?

    Yes, you will have social sharing icons at the bottom of your website directing visitors to follow you on social media. If you have a Pro Site then there is also capability to add a social media feed. This means that people who visit your website can see your graphics/posts even though they are not on Facebook or Instagram.

    Q: I already have a Certified Site. Do I have to resubmit for the seal again?

    Yes, each site must be submitted on it’s own. I work directly with compliance so our websites pass review quickly and doTERRA even puts the seal on our sites themselves.

    Q: I am from Canada, Europe, or Australia. Does my site need to be certified?

    Yes, everyone that wants to use doTERRA name online needs to get their site approved by doTERRA’s compliance department. For $5 we will submit your site for approval and get the seal or logo put on your website.

    Q: What kind of support do you offer your clients?

    Once you become our client you will be given a Client Portal Access. This is where you will see all of our emails and forms all in one place. You may also request to be added to our Facebook Group called Practical Website Design Suite. It is a closed group only available to our current clients. In there we post how-to videos, provide technical support, announce new websites, and provide free training on how to grow your doTERRA business.

  • Questions about "Domains and Hosting"

    Q: I have a domain through domains google, godaddy, bluehost ect…. Can I keep my domain?

    Yes, we will provide you with instructions on how to connect your site or you may pay a fee to have us do it for you.

    Q: Do I need a domain?

    Yes, and it is super inexpensive. You can get a domain through various companies for only $12/year.

    Q: Who do you recommend I get a domain through?

    Q: Do I need to get my own hosting?

    No, we provide hosting.

    Q: What platform do you use to build the websites?

    Our websites are powered by Strikingly.

    Q: I already have a website through wix/squarespace/wordpress ect… do you help me with my current site?

    No, we do not work on another platform besides our own. However, clients that have another website have created a tab called “Essential Oils 101” that links to the site we make. The price is still the same.

  • Questions about the "Shop"

    Q: How much is the shop?

    The shop is $75 to be added to your site for your market (Ex/ USA, Canada, Australia). You will also receive a copy of the “How do you want to feel” graphics via e-mail.

    Q: How does the shop work? Do people buy retail through the site?

    The shop is designed to function as a funnel. When someone notifies you through the shop that they would like specific doTERRA products you would then contact them with three options: Retail, Wholesale with Membership, and an Enrollment kit that makes sense with the products they requested. Most doTERRA Wellness Advocates do not really want someone to buy retail. So, this shop add-on opens the door to have a conversation with a customer and present them with enrollment options. The consensus is that most people after learning about the wholesale membership benefits typically enroll as we all know a membership is the best way. However, should a customer want the retail pricing you would then order on your own account and mail the item(s) to your customer. You are offering free shipping because you get shipping credits.     Q: What is the Shop Album Add-on vs. Shop Album + E-mailed Copy?

    The e-mailed copy means that you will also get a copy of each of the “How do you want to feel” graphics e-mailed to you for personal use. Some people like to use the graphics to text to people that ask about a specific need. Others like to use the graphics for social media, facebook, or Instagram posting.

    Q: I already have the Shop Album from Jody Hoffman? Can I use those?

    Yes, Just upload them in a zip file when you submit your Website Design Request Form.

    Q: Can I sell something else on my shop?

    Yes, as long as it’s doTERRA compliant. So, no selling products that have doterra products in them such as homemade lip balms ect…

    Q: Will the shop be available in my market (Canada, Australia)?

    Yes, the shop uploaded to your website will be tailored to your current market.

    Q: What is the Members Only Access Site?

    Q: I don’t have a large team yet, is the Members Access Site for me?

    Yes, absolutely! We’ve got great training tools to help you grow your doTERRA Business that you can start taking advantage of even if you are the only one on your team.

    Q: Do you provide the trainings/content for Members Access Site?

    Yes, we provide all the content for the Members Only Access Site. You also have the ability to keep or remove any of the content. You may also upload your own trainings.

    Q: What is the Members Only Access Site and how much is it?

    Q: I only want the Members Site. Can I get just that?

    No, the password protected Members Only Access Site is only available to clients that get Practical Website Design.

    Q: Can I add Lisa Zimmer’s FAQ’s to the site?

    Yes! If you have already purchased the New Member FAQ's or Builder FAQ's from Lisa Zimmer then we will add it to your website for $50 each. This is only available for Pro Sites with a Password Protected Members Only Access Site. To view a short video on what this would look like on your website click HERE.

    Q: Can I add my own zoom trainings, webinars, videos, pdf, documents to my members site?

    Yes, you can add any videos that have a url link such as youtube, vimeo, or zoom recordings. You can also upload any documents or graphics you would like.

    Q: Can I make update/changes to the Members Site?

    Yes, 100% of the website can be modified or changed by you.

  • Questions about the "Blog"

    Q: What is the blog writing service?

    For $15/month you will get 3 blog posts added to your website. All the blog posts will have a button at the bottom where people will be redirected to enroll through you.

    Q: Does everyone have the same blog posts?

    Yes, blogs must remain compliant so they are submitted to doTERRA’s compliance department for approval. You may also edit/modify our blog posts should you want it to sound more like “you”. My only advice is if you change anything continue using compliant language or you will get a "love" note from doTERRA asking you to make the changes.

    Q: Can I write my own blog post?

    Yes, all our websites come with a section for you to blog yourself. If you are too busy you may take advantage of our Blog Writing Service which is $15/month for 3 blog posts.

    Q: Can I take advantage of the Blog Writing Service AND write my own blog posts in between?

    Yes, absolutely. You can have our blogs and write your own in between.

  • Questions about "Changes & Updates"

    Q: Can I make changes on my website? What can I change?

    Yes, 100% of the site can be changed by you. We have a very user-friendly platform that will allow you to easily make changes to your site. We also provide you with how-to tutorial videos. However, some of the graphics are specific to our company and most clients typically have us update graphics for $5/graphic.

    Q: Do I need to contact you to make changes on my website?

    No, you can make changes on the site yourself. However, if you would like for us to make a change for you we will do it for a small fee.

    Q: What happens if/when doterra makes a change to their kits?

    You can update the site yourself or pay us a small fee to do it for you.

    Q: I’m not very techy. How hard is it to make updates/changes on my site?

    There is no coding needing for our platform. So, you will be able to easily make update/changes to your site. If you would prefer us to do it for you, we will do it for a small fee.

    Q: What is your fee for updates/changes?

    We do not have a monthly maintenance fee as all clients are responsible for the upkeep of their own website. However, if you would like us to make a change for you we typically charge $5-10 per graphic/change/update.

    Q: Can I add additional add-ons later?

    Yes. You may incur an additional fee if adding services after your website is complete.

    Q: What is your fee for updates/changes?

    We do not have a monthly maintenance fee. We just charge on a as needed if you need us basis. You may make updates to the website yourself or if you would like us to make a change for you we typically charge $5-10 per graphic/change/update.

    Q: Can I add additional add-ons features later?

    Yes, but you may incur an additional fee if adding features after your website is complete.

    Q: Do you accept payment plans?

    No, all our clients pay up front.

    Q: How long is your wait time?

    About 6 week or less if you have everything ready for us. Delays are typically due to waiting for clients to provide us with their headshot. If you are good about getting back to your website designer with your choice after being presented with screenshot options then your site will be done quicker.

    Q: I’d like my website completed within 1 week. Do you offer a rush option?

    Yes, our rush fee is $100. You must have all your information ready for us such as headshot, logo ect…

    1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
    Welcome to Practical Website Design service (the "Service"). Your use of the Service is subject to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). By using the Service, you signify your acceptance of these Terms AND those of Strikingly. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. 
    
    2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
    Our web design Service creates website designs using the Strikingly host as a server. Once registered, each Account Holder will have a website designed for their business. The Account Holder will have access to their Strikingly back office once the Post Website Consultation occurs. The Account Holder will then be able to make changes and modifications on their own or can pay a fee for our web designer to make the changes. Changes are limited to your Strikingly account registration capabilities. In the highly unlikely event, we are not responsible if Strikingly changes their terms of service, shuts down, or incurs a fee. 
    
    3. DOMAIN NAME
    Website designs are powered by Strikingly’s free subscription. The domain name will include ‘Strikingly’ unless you purchase a Pro Subscription through Strikingly (typically $16-20/month). 
    
    4. LOGO
    Website designs require a logo. You may provide your own or pay a fee for our web designer to create you one. You will then be provided with a choice of three logo design options. You will be e-mailed the final choice in PNG format for your personal use.
    
    5. ERRORS AND CORRECTIONS
    Clients should notify the web designer of any errors within 1 week of the Post Website Consultation. Corrections will be made in a timely manner.
    
    6. CHANGES AND MODIFICATIONS
    Clients will be shown how to make changes and modifications on their website. If you would like a graphic changed then a $5 fee applies per change. If you would like the web designer to make ‘other’ changes then a $5 fee applies per section.
    
    7. ADD-ONS
    Periodically an add-on feature will be offered. These are optional and can be added on to your website for an additional fee. 
    
    8. RESALE OF SERVICE
    You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service without our express written permission as it is Intellectual Property. Images, graphics, word content and any portion of the website that we designed or created for you may not duplicated to be used on any other hosting site. 
    
    9. DOTERRA CERTIFIED SEAL
    Websites are eligible to be submitted for a doTERRA Certified Seal. There is no guarantee your website will pass compliance although it is highly unlikely it will not pass. Once the seal is put on your website you are responsible for any and all content on your website. Please remain compliant with any modification or updates you make to your website. Practical Website Design is released of all responsibility once you receive your website login information at the Post Website Consultation.  
    
    10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
    YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT: (a) YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
    (b) WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE, LOSS OF DATA, CUSTOMER INFORMATION OR VENDOR DATA, REVENUE, OR OTHER HARM TO BUSINESS ARISING OUT OF DELAYS, MISDELIVERY OR NONDELIVERY OF INFORMATION, RESTRICTION OR LOSS OF ACCESS, BUGS OR OTHER ERRORS, UNAUTHORIZED USE DUE TO YOUR SHARING OF ACCESS TO THE SERVICE, OR OTHER INTERACTION WITH THE SERVICE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING AND BACKING-UP YOUR DATA AND INFORMATION THAT MAY RESIDE ON THE SERVICE. PRACTICAL WEBSITE DESIGN DOES NOT WARRANT THAT (i) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS, (ii) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, (iii) THE RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE, (iv) THE QUALITY OF ANY PRODUCTS, SERVICES, INFORMATION, OR OTHER MATERIAL PURCHASED OR OBTAINED BY YOU THROUGH THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS, AND (V) ANY ERRORS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED.
    (c) ANY MATERIAL DOWNLOADED OR OTHERWISE OBTAINED THROUGH THE USE OF THE SERVICE IS DONE AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK AND THAT YOU WILL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM OR LOSS OF DATA THAT RESULTS FROM THE DOWNLOAD OF ANY SUCH MATERIAL.
    
    11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
    WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES (EVEN IF PRACTICAL WEBSITE DESIGN HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES), RESULTING FROM: (i) THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; (ii) THE COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS AND SERVICES RESULTING FROM ANY GOODS, DATA, INFORMATION OR SERVICES PURCHASED OR OBTAINED OR MESSAGES RECEIVED OR TRANSACTIONS ENTERED INTO THROUGH OR FROM THE SERVICE; (iii) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR DATA; (iv) STATEMENTS OR CONDUCT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; OR (v) ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO FOR THE PAST MONTH OF THE SERVICE IN QUESTION.
